Tryouts for rising 13U
Cavalry Baseball's upcoming 13U team is looking to add a few players for this coming Fall 2020/Spring 2021 seasons.
The team is planning to hold tryouts in the next few weeks, once field allocations from the county are set. More info will follow once a day/time and location are set.
A player's eligibility for the 13U team is determined by their age as of April 30, 2021. For example, a player must be 13 or younger on April 30, 2021.
We're also excited to announce that coach Doug Arguello will be taking over the 13U team moving forward. This can be a very competitive team on the big field and believe that having coach Doug in charge will help this team and the kids on it to reach their goals.
Coach Doug grew up in Managua, Nicaragua and then spent 14 years playing baseball professionally as a pitcher within the Houston Astros organization. He worked his way up through the Astros minor league ranks to play for the AAA Oklahoma City RedHawks, while being selected to the 2010 Minor League All-Star game along the way. Coach Doug also played in various baseball leagues throughout North and South America. His pitching and overall baseball knowledge will truly be an asset to the team. Coach Doug also works with Rip City to provide pitching camps for all ages, as well as private lessons. He also is a volunteer coach at Freedom High School at Varsity level.
