Why get involved in travel at 7-year-olds?
It's a great way for your child to develop their baseball skills playing with other kids of a similar ability and desire to be out on the field.  Little league is fine and the kids have a lot of fun but there isn't enough practice time to really work on proper techniques and focus on skills development. The extra practice time and being with like-minded kids will allow the coaches to really work with them on developing proper fielding, throwing, pitching, hitting, and base running techniques. This is a Developmental Program and we will provide great instruction and tons of reps intended to provide an environment of growth and development of baseball skills and life skills associated with a team sports environment. Rising 8U

The Cavalry Baseball Rising 8U team is holding tryouts for the Fall 2023/Spring 2024 seasons. A player's team eligibility is determined by their age as of April 30, 2024. For example, an 8U player must be 8 or younger on April 30, 2024. This team is advancing from our 7U Developmental program but does have spots open for players who are interested in developing their baseball skills through year round baseball. This team will be focused on baseball development and move to competitive play in the Northern Virginia Travel Baseball league.

Rising 11U 

 

Thank you for your interest in trying out for our rising 11U team for our fall 2023 season. A player's travel ball age is their age on April 30, 2024 for the upcoming season. We are looking to add an advanced player(s) to a well established winning baseball team that focus on speed, quality and high repetitions, and real baseball experience.  Cavalry players will learn the game of baseball by playing more baseball per hour than any other team in the area by facing real game scenarios as a standard part of the practice plan.

Rising 13U

​

Thank you for your interest in trying out for our rising 13U team for the Fall 2023 season. A player's travel ball age is their age on April 30, 2024 for the upcoming season. We are looking to add players to our team that focuses on its core values of hustle, effort, attitude, respect, and teamwork. 

 

This tryout will be limited to advanced players capable of playing on, or ready to make the jump to, the 60’/90’ field and with previous travel baseball experience.
