Brian Triplett

Background:
Coach Brian has been involved with youth and collegiate baseball locally for nearly 30 years. After moving to the area at eleven years old, Brian played in West Springfield Little League for a year, and then moved on to Springfield Babe Ruth. Brian played Baseball, Football and Basketball at Lake Braddock Secondary School and summer baseball for American Legion Post 85 before moving on to play OF in college at James Madison University. Brian ended up leaving JMU to compete at Montgomery College-Rockville, where he led the state of Maryland in hitting with a .394 batting average as a freshman, and then transferred home to George Mason University to finish his last two years of his college career as a left-handed relief pitcher. Brian began coaching immediately out of college for American Legion Lorton Post 162, a post he held for 7 summers. Brian currently serves as Vice President of the Loudoun South Little League Board of Directors (2 years), and previously served as the Coaching Coordinator of the league the previous 3 years. Brian has recently coached local youth travel baseball for 6 years while coaching 8 years of Loudoun South Little League, including LSLL All-Stars at the 8-10, 9-11 and 10-12 age groups. Those All-Star seasons culminated in two consecutive Virginia State Championships, a Southeast Region Title and Virginia’s first trip to the Little League World Series in 25 years, where the team finished 3 rd in the United States.
