First Game, First Win!

The bats were busy at E.G. Smith Baseball Complex, Manassas on Saturday, and when the dust cleared Blue Ridge Cavalry had a 13-10 win over the VA Stars in five innings.

The teams combined for 23 hits, including four extra base hits. The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with five lead changes.

The Cavalry jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the top of the third before the Stars battled back into it. VA Stars survived the Cavalry's surge and put up nine runs combined in the third and fourth. The Cavalry took the lead in the fifth inning and held on for the victory. A wild pitch scored Grayson to give the Cavalry the lead for good.

Jack went two for three with an RBI and run scored, while Colton went two for four with a double, an RBI and two runs scored and Trevor racked up three RBIs on four hits with two runs scored. All and all the boys were very aggressive at the plate today.
